flowarts.io roadmap
Hey folks. I figured I'd post here with all the projects that we have going on here.
So we soft launched the site with Nick Woolsey's foundations course and all the elearning functionality and membership stuff setup.
I'll be adding his advanced course soon. So that will increase the elearning content from 12 hours to 28 hours. Which will be epic.
Nikki and Stan are heading off to Bali and Europe and will be teaching in person and promoting the site while they make their four new courses for contact staff, dragon staff, ropedart and fans. They will also be filming as they travel, interviewing flow artists and making other content.
Nikki and I designed some practice tech fans which turned out super nice and will eventually be available to buy, we'll make sure to offer a great discount for anyone doing her fans course.
I've been steadily updating the site. The forums now allow you to embed media into them, currently just youtube and spotify. Go try it out, I'd love to see some of your favourite videos and music playlists.
I'm still waiting on meta to allow us to embed facebook and Instagram posts but hopefully that will happen soon.
I'd love to categorise and search and filter through all that content rather than use several different apps. Years ago I built a version of spherculism that imported content from various feeds and I might set that up again.
I designed some stickers for nikki and stan to give out and stick places as they travel. I also whipped up a qr code generator as I was annoyed that the ones online use there own urls which can be a big problem. I might open that up for everyone to use if that would be handy.
I spent today and yesterday working on a flowarts world map so we can all add ourselves to it, all the events and flow spaces and so on. It's all working I just need to polish it a bit more.
Setting up newsletters which you'll be able to subscribe to.
I've been looking into remastering the spherular vision dvd and planning out what content I want to make and which camera i want to buy to make it with.
Still juggling kids and paid work with all this stuff but it's all moving along nicely.
Other projects being discussed too but it's too early to chat about those ones.
Lots going on. Anything you want us to prioritise?

There is a slight chance that since literary nobody is here, nobody will ever read this roadmap.
There shoud be a least sneak peak for unregistered users to see whats hidden behind that registration wall.
Just to let you know afer 1/2 year the poitutorials.com has 55 members(where testing accounts and staff = al least 8) or which there are 5 subscribers.
Just to foretell you future. So do not expect a lot please.
Yeah and the poitutorials.com forum space ia dead as hell. Like this one. So this project should be rather something or it will die slowly in agony and pain ;).
The subscription gets you access to all the course, currently there is nick's course which is 12 hours of videos. Everyone has full access to the course, subscribers have access to all the videos, everyone has access to the intro videos.

People will come, people will read this thread. We're still just in the soft launch phase.
I'm not hugely keen to compare with other sites but thanks for the info, in the first few weeks we had like 70 sign ups and 1 yearly subscriber but he thought the course was a new one and he's already done it, but I'll add nick's advanced course soon.
I released v1.4.0 yesterday. So now there is a far better subscriptions page. Also this implements the foundation for the frontend theme I'll eventually build out for the whole site which was a fair amount of work to get set up so I'm glad to have completed it.
Nikki compiled a massive list of places to put onto the map which I will go through and add at some point.
Made some epic stickers for stan and nikki to promote the site around bali and europe and making plans for them to be at EJC 2025 along with their trip to Phoenix Fire Convention 2025.
So it's slowly all coming together nicely.
v1.5.10 is live. A huge amount of work went into this. Nick's course is now split into 3 parts, I've changed how the backend handles members access, training page has been tidied up, added the fluency field to videos, basically you self assess how fluent you are with this lesson and it savs a score 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. So then the scoring of the courses is essentially how much of it you've fully learned. Also it highlights ares you need to practice.
Nikki made a massive list of places to put on the map, which I'll go through and add soon.
I've also done some graphics and made some merch, I'll announce it soon and add it to the site but here's a sneak peak
Added about 75 places to the map today big thanks to nikki for getting the list together, there are heaps more too but it's a good start.
The map looks awesome
You can add yourself to the map by editing your profile and adding a place, it should pull in your profile picture
