Hello and welcome. It's so good to see all these new users signing up.
Let's get to know each other a little better.
What's your name? Where are you from? What flowarts are you into?
I'll start. I'm Matt Terry, I'm from the uk but have lived out in New Zealand for 20 odd years. I got into poi in 2000 after seeing some spinners at burning man and having a deep sense of know how to do that.
I made a website called spherculism and posted heaps of videos and taught a lot of people to spin. I made a dvd called Sphercular Vision in 2005.
Settled down, built a house in NZ, had kids, worked as a web developer for 20 years whilst always thinking about the next iteration of the spherculism project. Finally the planets aligned and you're looking at the next phase of the project.
So let's get to know each other, what got you into the flowarts?

Hello everyone,
First time on a flow board. I'm from Vancouver area in BC Canada and been spinning poi since summer 2013 at my first burner event; Been hooked since then. Nick and Drex are my 2 biggest influence over the years.
Been learning contact staff for the last 2-3 years, still not controlling the staff very well but getting there slowly :)

Welcome aboard Francois. Vancouver seems like a great city, I only ever made it as far up the coast as Seattle and absolutely loved it.
I just started learning dragon staff and I'm so hooked, Stan is currently making a contact staff course and a dragon staff course.
I'd love to see you spin, got any youtube links or anything?

Beginner flow artist here :> Call me Curly
I live in the pacific northwest and I'm currently learning poi along with russian grip fans. SUPER keen to see fan lessons show up, even if they look like they're moreso built for American Grip fans! I attend local burns which is how I've ended up on the flow train like this. Keen to see this site build up over time! <3

Hey Curly. Learning poi and fans, this place was made for you, ha. Yeah Nixie's course is for tech grip fans but her Foundations course is for any two objects... Mate you've been smashing through the courses and actually using the watched/practicing/learned flags. That is so awesome, not many people have been clicking those, I'd love to hear your feedback on that system. I think it's one of the best things I've ever designed, ha. You must have got the sneaky little celebration animations at the end of each module :)
At some point i'll get around to building an xp system so people can get points and stuff but I have some other more pressing things to do first.
If there's anything you want me to build, or any feedback I'd love to hear it

I'm Simon, AKA Juggling Jack Flash.
I've been making my way around the world over the past 16 years juggling and telling jokes to put smiles on faces and cash out of pockets.
Super cool that there's a new community forum, I miss the days when Home of Poi forums where we used to chat shit about everything and nothing.
Any juggling related questions feel free to reach out :D

Hello mate. Thanks for introducing yourself. Yeah i miss those days too. These forums are the only part of the site that didn't get the big v2 upgrade. Apart from a quick bit of theming.
I do have plans to build something totally custom for us which would be more of a modern system. But i don't want to say too much about that because i have no idea when I'll actually get time to do it.
Although i do still need to build all the lesson and course commenting system so maybe I'll upgrade everything when i do that.
