Jon talks crosspoints

Crosspoint placement and body timing are used here to make windmills, reels, and mills relate more cleanly. Nick Woolsey’s guest breaks down how the poi’s shared crosspoint shifts as you move the pattern from above the head to shoulder height, around the body, and out front, changing whether you’re aiming at one central crosspoint or alternating between two opposing crosspoints.

The focus is on noticing and drilling the subtle timing adjustments in your arms and torso that keep the poi crossing cleanly as planes and orientations change. Practise the full range of motion so these timing shifts become consistent and don’t derail transitions between windmill and watermill variants.
