Folds ~ Core Concept

Drill the fan fold pathway one arm at a time to clean up your hinge mechanics and directional clarity. Start with the arm extended from the shoulder, palm orientation leading the shape as the back of the hand travels up, then folds across the body, then down to complete a diamond-like pathway.

You’ll practise reversing the fold to return along the same track, then repeat on the non-dominant side to balance control and symmetry. The focus is smoothness, consistent palm facing changes, and building reliable single-hand patterning before moving into two-fan variations.
