Changing planes - think inside the box
Work on plane changes by treating each stall as a reset point. Starting from forward spins in split time, practise stalling at the bottom and top of the pattern, then restarting in a different direction or on a different plane instead of returning the way you entered.
Nick Woolsey uses a “box” idea to organise these choices: stall at the corners, then switch between the box faces to explore vertical-to-horizontal and side-to-side plane shifts. Drill one hand first, then combine hands to build cleaner transitions and more deliberate plane control.
