Introducing triquetras

Triquetra basics for poi, framed as a three-petal pathway that can point up or down. Nick Woolsey maps the shape to a clear centre line so you can track symmetry and keep your planes consistent while your arm circles.

You’ll drill how the poi alternates between top and bottom “reaches”, using small loops to connect the petals rather than letting the head drop straight down. The lesson highlights how triquetras relate geometrically to circles and pendulums, and notes how poi length relative to your arm affects the size and clarity of the pattern.
