More thoughts on making 4-petal antispin beautiful and safe

Refine your 4-petal antispin by separating what the poi draws from what your hand and shoulder are doing. Nick Woolsey focuses on keeping the hand circling cleanly while letting the poi create the petal geometry, rather than forcing the arm to trace the full shape.

The drill uses a wall for feedback to develop proprioception and confirm your plane and alignment. You’ll practise forward and backward circles while staying loose through the body, turning with the arm so the shoulder doesn’t crank behind you. The aim is smoother petals with less strain, so you can drill the pattern for longer without aggravating your shoulder.
