Corkscrew ~ Core Concept

This lesson breaks down the fans corkscrew by isolating the hand path before adding props. You’ll drill a figure-eight wrist relationship with palms facing away, separating and returning wrist-to-wrist as the fingertips turn down, then repeat in both directions to build clean timing and orientation.

With fans, Nikki Scarano explores a corkscrew starting from a W relation, using the fan tips as a connection point and a clear leader–follower dynamic (right hand leading). You’ll compare tighter “wrist glue” corkscrews with larger, more expansive pathways to troubleshoot control and consistency.
