Corkscrew and windmill... are basically the same thing!

Corkscrew and windmill are treated as the same poi pattern on different axes, with the key skill being a controlled plane shift between horizontal and vertical. You’ll drill transitioning by changing body lean and orientation rather than resetting the spin, keeping one poi leading to maintain timing and direction.

Nick Woolsey cues practical checkpoints like bringing the poi past the belly to drop into corkscrew, or reaching behind and gradually standing to rise into windmill. This gives you a reliable transition for moving from horizontal spinning into vertical patterns mid-flow, in either rotational direction.
