Course Intro
This course introduction sets the training intent for Fundamentals of Flow, aimed at beginners and also useful for artists refining their base. Nikki Scarano frames the programme around shared flow arts theory and terminology to build a clearer structure for practice and progression.
You’ll start with no props, using hands and arms to map how the body moves before adding equipment later. The emphasis is on foundational concepts like timing and direction, with an eye towards double-prop disciplines (including fans) and how consistent movement language supports cleaner technique and transitions.
