Continuing warming up

Continue the warm-up by shifting from body heat into coordination and timing. Nick Woolsey uses buzzsaw-style poi hand circles as a brain drill, imagining a hoop plane in front of you and working both same-time/same-direction and split-time/same-direction rotations.

You’ll anchor movement on four clear cardinal points (up, down, in, out) to keep orientation consistent, then vary rhythm with half-circles, full circles, and repeated counts. At each cardinal, practise switching modes by changing one hand’s direction into opposites, then returning to same-direction, building reliable control for later transitions.
