Warming up while exploring the Modes of Movement

A poi-focused warm-up that moves your joints safely through range of motion while reinforcing core timing and plane vocabulary. You’ll practise gentle circles from the wrists, elbows, and shoulders, shifting between inwards and outwards pathways on the wall plane and changing coordination between same time and split time.

Nick Woolsey also has you explore opposites versus same-direction arm patterns, plus forward/backward orientation changes while keeping a continuum of movement. Use this as a repeatable pre-session drill to recruit neuromotor coordination, improve posture and pulse, and reduce injury risk before higher-intensity spinning.
