Introducing Reels (Looping the same-time turns)
Reels take a same-time turn and loop it continuously, turning a single turn into a repeating pattern. Nick Woolsey frames hip reels as looping up-behind-the-hips with up-in-front-of-the-hips, shoulder reels as looping down-behind-the-shoulders with down-in-front-of-the-shoulders, and notes the mixed loop often called chase the sun.
The key refinement is how you turn. Rather than big 180-degree body rotations, practise smaller angled shifts of the sternum between the cardinal directions so the turn happens from controlled body rotation while the poi tracks stay clean and consistent.
