Same-direction same-time turns: poi down behind the shoulders

Work a same-direction, same-time turn by passing both poi behind the shoulders. Start with hands hovering near the shoulder blades and build momentum with a small body sway rather than arm motion, keeping the poi swinging side-to-side behind you before driving a clean shoulder-level swing.

Nick Woolsey emphasises orienting your turn so the swing lines up to one side, then committing to a full 90° turn to keep the pattern coherent. Drill returning the poi back behind you between turns, and troubleshoot accidental front passes by clarifying direction and maintaining the behind-the-shoulders pathway.
