Jiggies into pirouettes
Nick Woolsey links a clean Jiggy to fast, controlled pirouettes in poi by removing hand and wrist input. You drill a belly-button-height Jiggy with “locked” hands so the poi motion is driven by hip rotation and body timing, not steering.
The focus is on when to initiate each turn so the poi stays in a consistent plane as you travel through the rotation. Practise keeping the poi slow while you turn fast, using the Jiggy timing to return to a straight alignment after each pirouette and avoid accidental extra loops.
