Saloon doors intro

This intro drill builds wall plane control by “bending” each poi’s plane in and out without creating a crosspoint. You’ll shorten the poi so they can spin comfortably inside the arms, then practise letting the heads drift towards you and away again while keeping clean opposites timing and stable rotation.

Nick Woolsey frames this as the saloon doors mechanic: one poi can “open” in while the other “opens” out, then you reverse. The goal is refined plane and angle control for more consistent wall plane flowers, turns, and air wraps later.
