Turning with the weaves with straight planes
Work on continuous turning while maintaining straight planes through a three-beat poi weave. Using a wall as an external reference, you drill keeping each circle clean and consistent as your body pivots, so the weave doesn’t blur into accidental plane bending.
Nick Woolsey emphasises tracking the turn with a simple timing cue as the right arm crosses down over, then comes up under, helping you stay oriented when switching between forward and backward weave pathways. This refines turn-weave coordination and builds a reliable base for intentional plane variation later.
