Turning ~ Flicker
Practise a turning flicker with fans, combining a continuous wrist-driven flicker with a body turn to change orientation while keeping the pattern readable. You’ll drill flipping the wrists up-to-down and down-to-up, aiming for clean timing and consistent fan angle as you rotate.
Nikki Scarano frames this as a practical way to finish a burn, using the turning flicker to ‘extinguish the wick’ while maintaining control and presentation. Work both turning directions, use full arm extension for clearer lines, and manage spotting to reduce dizziness.
