Cardinal focus points

Cardinal focus points break a vertical arm circle into clear reference positions: up, forwards, down, and back. Nick Woolsey has you map these points on each arm, using them as places to pause, pulse, or “hit” with intention so your timing and orientation stay consistent.

You’ll drill moving between cardinals on the horizon line and through the top or bottom, then start mode switching by changing direction at specific points. This builds cleaner transitions between swings and circles, and gives you reliable landmarks for troubleshooting pathway accuracy.
