Chase the sun

Work on Chase The Sun by linking the hip reel and shoulder reel with minimal body travel. Nick Woolsey has you keep the poi spinning to the right while planting your feet to limit rotation and encourage a controlled 45° to 45° torso turn rather than full spins.

Drill the pathway flip up behind the hips, then down behind the shoulders, then connect them into one continuous loop from hips to shoulders and back. The focus is reducing oversteering so the pattern stays smooth, less unwieldy, and easier to repeat with consistent timing.
