Practicing the reels and chase the sun
Reinforce clean poi reels by using a consistent landmark and a small sternum-and-shoulder shift rather than fully turning with the props. Nick Woolsey cues leading with your gaze, looking over each shoulder to guide the body just enough to keep the reels on plane as the heads pass low near the toes and back past the back pockets.
You’ll drill linking several reels in a row, resetting when the planes break, then repeat the same timing idea for hip reels passing up near the hips. The session builds control for chaining reels into a continuous loop and preparing smoother transitions into Chase The Sun pathways.
