Footwork - more on turning on concrete continued
Continues refining turning footwork on concrete, focusing on weight shift and direction changes without torquing the feet or knees. You’ll drill leading the turn with the feet, using a small “micro-leap” to reorient the landing foot in the air so it touches down already aligned with the new facing, rather than landing then pivoting under load.
Nick Woolsey also highlights letting the body follow the feet through repeated pivots, and building comfort with landing and stepping backwards. The aim is smoother, safer turns you can apply while playing poi on hard ground, keeping pivots light and controlled.
