How to get into backward behind the back weave

Nick Woolsey reviews reliable entries into a backward behind-the-back weave by building the lead-up mechanics first. You’ll practise turning while keeping your back to the poi, reducing visual dependency and keeping the rotation direction clean as you set up the behind-the-back pathway.

The lesson breaks down over–under timing for each hand, then integrates both poi with left- and right-lead starts. Emphasis is on initiating with an under to create space for the first over behind your back, plus drills that alternate one poi behind while the other crosses in front. Aim for tight, parallel planes like moving through a narrow hallway.
