Jedi grip
Using single-loop poi handles, you’ll set up Nick Woolsey’s Jedi Grip by folding the loop over the fingers so it locks at the base of the two middle fingers. The aim is a secure attachment that lets you relax the hand and keep wrist and finger articulation available, rather than being locked into a fixed hold.
The core drill is moving the handle’s contact point between palm and back-of-hand, building clean front-to-back and back-to-front passes without losing control of the swivel. This grip-switching skill supports expressive hand positions and smoother transitions while maintaining consistent timing in your patterns.
