Not getting dizzy

Work on turning mechanics for poi without getting dizzy, using the circle footwork from previous training. You’ll drill a parallel-stance pivot-step pattern with the heel lifting to reduce knee pressure, then aim to smooth it into continuous rotation and gradually increase speed towards full pirouettes.

Nick Woolsey introduces two practical anti-dizziness tools. Keep a stable head axis with the “ninja book on head” idea to avoid tilting and inconsistent acceleration, and use dance-style spotting to manage orientation. If dizziness builds, briefly turn back the other way to settle your inner-ear sensation, then return to consistent, even-speed turning.
