The 6-beat fountain
This lesson builds a 6-beat fountain from clean transitions between forwards weave and backwards weave. You’ll drill the turning changeover while keeping the weave rhythm, then shape the “fountain” illusion by deliberately tracking the hands with the crossing pathway.
Focus on the mechanics of the switch: cross down over the arm when moving forwards to backwards, and cross up underneath when moving backwards to forwards. Start neutral and slow, then exaggerate the levels to make the pattern read clearly as down-low and up-high. Once consistent, repeat on the other side to reinforce symmetry and control.
