Changing Planes

Changing planes is drilled through simple arm pathways while you shift your torso and stance. You start tracing a wall plane, then move your body left or right so the same pathway reads as a wheel plane, highlighting how plane orientation can change through body placement rather than changing the arm pattern.

Nikki Scarano then has you repeat with the opposite hand and explore moving from wall into horizontal orientation using imagined “invisible walls” as references. This builds awareness of plane control, spatial tracking, and clean transitions you can later apply with fans or other props.
