Beginning to whirl with the reels!

Refine your shoulder reels, hip reels, and chase the sun into a continuous whirl by using body rotation rather than arm-only steering. Nick Woolsey has you revisit the reel pathway while changing how far your sternum turns, working from full front-facing orientation into smaller directional shifts.

Practise keeping the poi planes consistent while your hips, feet, and sternum travel just enough to let the turning “do the move”. This builds comfort doing the same-time reel patterns both ways, then prepares you to connect them into whirling with chase the sun.
