Whirling with shoulder and hip reels

Work a continuous whirl while layering shoulder and hip reels, using a wall or other straight reference to check your plane choices. Keep the hands high at shoulder level as the poi pass between you and the reference point, then behind the shoulders, maintaining clean timing through the reel pathway.

Drill the pattern with footwork options from simple shuffles to pivot-step and, if comfortable, pirouette-style turning. The practical aim is to connect upper-body reel mechanics with travelling rotation without knee strain, building towards two full turns in a row in both directions.
