G's favourite move
This poi drill builds a behind-the-back pathway where each hand alternates from in front to behind by travelling straight up, then slipping over the shoulder to move behind, or under the armpit to return to front. Focus on a clean, vertical ‘elevator’ rise so the transition is subtle rather than a big sweep.
Nick Woolsey then combines both hands in an outward opposites rhythm, starting with one hand in front and the other behind, switching each time they rise. The practical goal is timing refinement so both hands appear parallel and matched despite one passing over the shoulder while the other passes under.
