Swinging, spinning, and controlling the plane of one poi
Work with one poi to build clean control over swinging (pendulum) and spinning, with attention on keeping the prop travelling on a consistent plane. You’ll practise reversing the swing smoothly, switching between left and right “tracks”, and changing hands without losing timing or tension.
Nick Woolsey then has you transition from swings into forward and backward circles and back again, using relaxed fingers, wrist, and elbow for steadier rotation. You’ll also explore plane control by intentionally tilting and “bending” the spinning plane (side-to-side, up, and down) and returning it to a straight wall plane for more deliberate direction changes.
