Warm up

A grounded poi warm up focused on getting into your body before drilling technique. Nick Woolsey starts with rhythmic bouncing to raise temperature, find posture, and build a sense of centred alignment.

You’ll explore core engagement and pelvic floor lift to stabilise the spine and pelvis, then open the chest with relaxed shoulders. From there, practise weight shifts through toes and heels and side-to-side to wake up balance and readiness, turning the warm up into light dance so your timing and movement quality feel organised before spinning.
