Warm up your poi session by building rhythmic bounce, breath, and body awareness. Nick Woolsey cycles through scanning for tension, shifting weight, and letting movement lock to the music so timing and relaxation are set before technical drilling.
You’ll explore pirouette preparation with clear variables: turning left/right and stepping forwards or backwards around the pivot foot, then biasing practice towards weaker directions. The sequence adds squats and optional light weight for heat and stability, with an emphasis on initiating movement from the core to support balance, spinal strength, and cleaner turns.
