Footwork: Weight Shifting

A simple footwork drill for building clean weight shifting in your base. With a soft knee bend, you’ll practise moving full-body weight from right to left, letting the unweighted foot become light and responsive.

This trains balance, grounding, and rhythmic timing so your stance stays stable when adding fan movement or travelling steps. Use the exercise to check for centred alignment and consistent transfer, optionally closing your eyes to sharpen proprioception before returning to neutral.
