Crosspoints above the head close to a wall

Practise maintaining a crosspoint above your head while turning, using a wall as an external orientation cue. The drill focuses on keeping the crossing point stable as you travel from one side of the body, up through the overhead pathway, and down the other side without drifting into one-sided reps.

Nick Woolsey emphasises alternating spatial reference points (e.g., “wall / not wall”) and even speaking the cue aloud to support timing, direction, and rotational awareness through the tricky overhead moment where orientation often flips. This builds cleaner turning mechanics for later dance and improvisation.
