Developing circle and plane control while learning buzzsaw

Drill circle quality and plane control as a foundation for buzzsaw work in poi. Nick Woolsey uses a finger-over-finger circling exercise to build cleaner circles and reduce accidental ovals, then scales the same motion through wrist, elbow, and shoulder to explore how different motor units affect radius and stability.

You’ll practise keeping the circle on a consistent plane while changing size, direction, and forward/backward timing, then apply that coordination with the poi wrapped short around the hand. The aim is more deliberate control of the buzzsaw pathway and smoother, less tangled rotations.
