Poi fu for CAPped swoops

This drill builds the armwork for opposites CAPped extensions and related “switchy backie” timing by taking the poi out of the equation. You practise poi fu pathways where each arm tracks a clean circle and alternates top and bottom positions in a scissoring pattern.

Nick Woolsey uses four cardinal focus points to refine placement and timing, so the arms pass consistently on the horizon and hit clear vertical endpoints. Use a mirror or video to troubleshoot alignment and ensure what you feel matches what you’re actually drawing, then add the specific switch as one arm reaches the top focus point.
