Spiral wraps around one hand
Work a spiral wrap variation where both poi coil around a single hand instead of the usual two-hand ‘turtle’ wrap. Using a knuckle grip, explore bringing the hands together in a ‘prayer’ shape, then let both heads wrap around your right hand, optionally tightening to a two-finger wrap for a slower, longer spiral.
Nick Woolsey focuses on placement and timing so the second poi arrives and wraps symmetrically. Drill the wrap-up and controlled release, and experiment with changing direction to re-wrap on the opposite side of the hand. This option can feel more natural if two-hand wraps are tricky, and it opens clean release points for performance phrasing.
