Spiral wraps 1

Spiral wraps build from split-time, same-direction poi with a controlled wall-plane that’s slightly bent in towards you, so the heads track close to the body without drifting out. You’ll refine that inward plane angle as a practical prerequisite for clean, predictable wraps and for safely contacting the arms and wrists in symmetry.

Nick Woolsey focuses on bringing the hands closer together and choosing a grip that keeps both tethers exiting opposite sides of the hands for even wrapping and unwrapping. You’ll compare a firm “turtle” hand shape with alternatives such as a prayer-like position, depending on whether your poi sit in key/turn-do style grips or off the knuckles.
